Small COMMUNITY

When you step into Vesta Memory Care, one of the first things you will notice is that it doesn’t feel like a “facility”. Instead, it FEELS LIKE HOME!

We specifically designed our memory care home to be small.  We know that small is what is optimal for quality interactions and relationship building.

home cooked meals

Dehydration and malnutrition are common risks for someone with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Our unique approach to dining aims at meeting and exceeding nutrition and hydration needs, maintaining individual dignity and respect, and optimizing an interactive environment.  Home cooked meals allow for appetizing food preparation and the ability to be flexible to resident dietary needs.  From multi-sensory meal prep (this can help stimulate appetite and improve intake) to dining assessments and adapting utensils or dinnerware, we know how to maximize mealtime success for your loved one.  We even encourage families to share favorite recipes so their loved one can enjoy familiar meals.  Residents can watch, hear and smell or they might even help as their nutritious meals are prepared.  Supervised access to the visible kitchen allows residents to have their needs met if they fall outside of regular mealtimes. We also monitor for any swallowing problems that might impact your loved one’s health.

Our home is just that- a HOME.  And if our home is like yours, that means your kitchen isn’t “behind the scenes”.  In fact, much like your home, the kitchen plays an integral part of our home.  We’ve been mindful to integrate many other details seamlessly into Vesta Memory Care to make your loved one feel right at home.
